Sardine Puttanesca

Tomato and chili based fishy puttanesca


75g spaghetti
1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 onion chopped
1/2 garlic clove
1/2 red chilli (or season with chilli powder)
1tbsp tomato purée
Sardines in tomato sauce
25g olives


Cook the pasta following pack instructions. Heat the oil in a non stick frying pan and cook the onion, garlic and chilli for 3-4 minutes to soften.

Stir in tomato purée for 1 min, then add the sardines with their sauce. Cook breaking up the fish, then add olives and continue to cook for a few minutes.
Drain pasta and mix pilchard sauce together to serve.
